Ook wij van Café Mickey ontvingen de officiële persrelease van Ratatouille. Erg interessant is het volledige verhaal die verteld wordt: als gast stap je in de ratmobile, en je start op de Parijse daken waar je Rémy ontmoet met de geest van Gusteau. Daar hebben ze het over de speciale menu die Rémy wil klaarmaken voor on. Daarna schieten we naar beneden en komen we terecht op de keukenvloer van Gusteau’s restaurant. Om uit de handen te blijven van Chef Skinner begeleidt Rémy ons van het ene schuilplekje naar de ander, en gelukkig is Linguini ook aanwezig om ons te helpen.

De ratmobiles zijn er in vijf verschillende kleuren en kunnen tot zes passagiers vervoeren. Telkens reis je in groepjes van drie, maar niemand volgt dezelfde route.

Naast de attractie krijgen we dus ook nog het restaurant Bistrot Chez Rémy en de winkel Chez Marianne – Souvenirs de Paris, die pas in de herfst opengaat. La Place de Rémy krijgt twee straten: Allée des Marchands en Rue Auguste Gusteau. De blikvanger van het plein wordt de fontein van ratten die flessen omhoog houden. Bovendien komt er ook een speciaal eerbetoon aan Paul Bocuse, de beroemde chef die voor heel wat inspiratie zorgde voor Ratatouille. Let zeker ook op enkele elementen uit de film zoals Linguini’s fiets en Colette's motorfiets.

In het restaurant zullen 370 personen kunnen plaatsnemen. Je komt terecht in een vergrote wereld, waar deksels van confituurpotten als tafelblad dienen en waar champagnekurken omgetoverd worden tot stoelen. Gigantische papieren cocktailparaplu's worden parasols en borden worden scheidingen voor de zitplaatsen.

It's officially on the menu: on 10 July 2014, Disneyland Paris unveils a new world dedicated to the Disney•Pixar film Ratatouille. Named La Place de Rémy in tribute to the “little chef,” this all-new mini-land will open in Walt Disney Studios Park and will feature a completely original attraction, inspired by Rémy’s adventures in the film.

The all-new attraction, the 60th to open at Disneyland Paris, is called Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy. Guests are shrunk down to the size of a rat and board “ratmobiles” for a zany culinary adventure through Gusteau’s famous restaurant. From a Paris rooftop to the restaurant’s bustling kitchen, cavernous food locker and busy dining room under the careful watch of Chef Skinner... this tasty adventure is full of twists and turns.

Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy anchors La Place de Rémy, a corner of the park’s Toon Studios that has been transformed into a Ratatouille-inspired version of The City of Light. This brand new mini-land, exclusive to Walt Disney Studios Park, also features Bistrot Chez Rémy, a table service restaurant serving, among other delicious dishes, the little chef's famous ratatouille in a larger-than-life setting. A special boutique*, "Chez Marianne – Souvenirs de Paris", will also open its doors.

Released in 2007, Ratatouille , which won the Oscar for best animated feature film, tells the story of Rémy, a rat who dreams of becoming a renowned French chef. Filmgoers got to know him in an adventure that took him to the top Paris restaurants. With the arrival of Rémy at Walt Disney Studios Park, guests will find themselves in the middle of his exciting culinary adventure.

The culinary world of the Disney•Pixar film Ratatouille comes to life in Ratatouille L’Aventure Totalement Toquée De Rémy, a first of its kind Disney attraction that uses trackless ride vehicles matched to an enormous 3D projection system featuring original animation from Pixar Animation Studios.

Guests shrink down to the size of a rat and join Rémy, the “little chef” from the film for a crazy culinary adventure that sends them scurrying through the kitchen, dining room, and walls of Gusteau's famous Paris restaurant.

Synopsis
The adventure begins when guests become rat-sized and board a « ratmobile », a vehicle that looks like a cute version of the furry rodents from the film. Soon the ratmobiles are on a Paris rooftop where they encounter Rémy and the ghost of Gusteau as they discuss the special meal Rémy wants to prepare in guests’ honor. Moments later, Rémy’s excitement leads to him and the ratmobiles plummeting down to the kitchen floor of Gusteau’s restaurant. Being rats in a human world is fraught with danger, so Rémy and his new friends in the ratmobiles have to quickly move out of sight before Chef Skinner spots them. Rémy leads the way as all of the rats move from one tight hiding place to another. Luckily, Rémy’s human pal Linguini is there to help.

Ride in the "ratmobile"
Guests will discover a vehicle that is, shall we say, a little unusual, letting them enjoy the experience as though they were the size of our lovable little rodents. Welcome to the ratmobile! Specially designed by our Imagineers, this strange and amazing car, which will make all real rodents green with envy, comes in five colours. It is great for families since it holds six passengers. The ratmobile travels in groups of three, but like real rats, none of them follows the same route. They move using a technology that requires no rails.

Now guests can really experience what it’s like to be a furry little rodent in a human-sized world as they dart quickly from hiding place to hiding place during this zany culinary adventure.

La Place de Rémy: Disneyland tribute to Paris

The new attraction, Ratatouille L’Aventure Totalement Toquée De Rémy, will be located in a new area of Walt Disney Studios Park called La Place de Rémy in honour of the energetic “little chef” from the film and the city he loves, Paris. This new mini-land pays tribute to the real City of Light while at the same time evoking the whimsical Paris seen in the film.

Also on the Ratatouille-inspired menu is a restaurant, and not just any restaurant, but Bistrot Chez Rémy, with a similar atmosphere and proportions to the restaurant experienced at the end of the attraction. Completing the mini-land, and arriving in the autumn, is a new boutique, once again paying tribute to France: "Chez Marianne – Souvenirs de Paris".

The Paris of Ratatouille draws inspiration from several iconic neighbourhoods of the City of Light. Place Dauphine and Boulevard Haussmann particularly influence its architectural design. The colours of building façades and the entire neighbourhood are purposefully more intense than in real-life Paris. The Imagineers chose the Paris of the Ratatouille film world which is a valentine to the City of Light. The vitality of the film is completely preserved.

One of the most important elements of La Place de Rémy is its fountain. Filmgoers saw a typically Parisian example in front of Gusteau's restaurant in the film. To recreate it in the Park, the Imagineers studied many Parisian fountains. The inspiration for our fountain was found in Place des Vosges, with its circular basins and lion heads spouting water. Once the shape and dimensions were decided, the designer Harley Jessup, who worked on the film Ratatouille, personally added the finishing touches that make reference to Rémy, his rat friends and the kitchen. Gourmet rats, of course, hold up sculpted bottles of freely flowing champagne.

La Place de Rémy will include two main streets: Allée des Marchands and Rue Auguste Gusteau. A tribute to the world's greatest chef, Paul Bocuse, who provided plenty of inspiration for the creators of Ratatouille, will be unveiled on the central square near Bistrot Chez Rémy. The lampposts and benches will also be typically Parisian. Thanks to all these elements created by Disney's Imagineers, guests will be able to stroll through Paris as it appears in Ratatouille. Fans will also be able to spot references to the film, such as Linguini's bicycle, Colette's motorbike or the Vespa stolen by the dreaded Chef Skinner.

Ratatouille on the menu at Bistrot Chez Rémy

Delicious French cuisine, like that presented in the Disney•Pixar film Ratatouille, can now be enjoyed by all in Bistrot Chez Rémy, a themed table service restaurant inspired by the world and recipes of the film. The upscale, but light-hearted 370-person restaurant is the creation of Rémy, the rat who loves to cook, and is located in a new corner of Walt Disney Studios Park that's been transformed into a Ratatouille-themed version of The City of Light. Join us for lunch or dinner at Bistrot Chez Rémy from 10 July 2014.

Bistrot Chez Rémy will welcome guests into a world where they are shrunk to the size of rats immersing them in an oversized world where jam jar lids serve as table tops and champagne corks are turned into chairs. Designed by Rémy and his friends, the restaurant also features everyday human items made large like paper cocktail umbrellas turned into parasols, giant cookbooks standing on end, and plates used to separate seating areas.

On the menu during this Ratatouille-inspired experience, Rémy has prepared a unique menu that includes entrecote, chips, and of course, ratatouille! The "little chef" recommends a seasonal salad to start and a choice of dessert: a selection of French cheeses, including Brie de Meaux, and a fruit salad. Bon appétit!

Op 10 juli 2014 opent Disneyland Paris een nieuwe wereld in het teken van de Disney•Pixar film Ratatouille. Het nieuwe mini-land, La Place de Rémy, is een eerbetoon aan de kleine chef en bevindt zich in het Walt Disney Studios Park.

In dit nieuwe mini-land opent een nieuwe attractie! Deze gaat Ratatouille: The Adventure heten en is de 60e attractie die haar deuren opent in Disneyland Paris. In de ‘ratmobiel’ krimpen de gasten tot het formaat van een rat voor een waanzinnig culinair avontuur door Gusteau’s bekende restaurant. Het avontuur begint op de daken van Parijs, waarna de gasten zich begeven naar de bruisende keuken van het restaurant van Gusteau, om vervolgens een bezoekje brengen aan de voorraadkast en daarna de drukke eetzaal in te gaan onder toeziend oog van Chef Skinner. Dit smaakvolle avontuur zit vol onverwachte wendingen!

Ratatouille: The Adventure ligt op La Place de Rémy, de Ratatouille versie van een typisch plein in Parijs. Ratatouille: The Adventure: De 60e attractie in Disneyland Paris

De culinaire wereld van de Disney•Pixar film Ratatouille komt tot leven in Ratatouille: The Adventure. De attractie gebruikt geen rails en beweegt zich langs enorme 3D projecties met animaties van Pixar Animation Studios. Gasten krimpen tot het formaat van een rat en beleven samen met de kleine chef Rémy een waanzinnig culinair avontuur in de keuken, eetzaal en door de muren van het bekende restaurant van Gusteau.

De attractie
Het avontuur begint, zodra bezoekers aan boord van de ‘ratmobiel’ gaan, een schattige elektrische versie van de harige knaagdiertjes uit de film. De ‘ratmobiel’ start op een dakterras ergens in Parijs, waar je Rémy en de geest van Gusteau druk in gesprek ziet over een speciale maaltijd die Rémy wil maken voor de gasten. Even later zorgt Rémy’s enthousiasme ervoor dat je naar beneden koerst richting de vloer van Gusteau’s keuken. Omdat de grote mensenwereld voor een rat vol gevaren zit moeten Rémy en zijn nieuwe vriendjes snel uit het zicht racen, voordat chef Skinner ze opmerkt! De ratjes snellen van verstopplek naar verstopplek, met Rémy voorop. Gelukkig helpt Linguini altijd een handje!

Een ritje in de ‘ratmobiel’
Door de ongebruikelijke karretjes ervaren de bezoekers de attractie alsof ze net zo groot zijn als een rat. Welkom in de ‘ratmobiel’! Deze vreemde, maar ingenieuze karretjes zijn speciaal door onze Imagineers ontworpen in vijf kleuren. Met een capaciteit voor zes personen zijn ze ideaal voor gezinnen. De ‘ratmobiel’ beweegt zich altijd voort in een groepje van drie, maar geen van de karretjes volgt, net zoals een echte rat, dezelfde route. De attractie is geheel rail-loos!




Ratatouille op het menu van Bistrot Chez Rémy

Vanaf 10 juli kan iedereen bij Bistrot Chez Rémy van de heerlijke Franse keuken uit de Disney•Pixar film genieten. Het gethematiseerde restaurant is volledig gebaseerd op de wereld van Ratatouille en zelfs de recepten komen uit de film! Het smaakvolle restaurant van de kleine chef Rémy biedt plaats aan 370 mensen en bevindt zich in het gloednieuwe Ratatouille mini-land in het Walt Disney Studios Park. Er kan zowel geluncht als gedineerd worden in Bistrot Chez Rémy.

In de oversized wereld van Bistrot Chez Rémy dienen deksels van confituurpotten als tafelbladen en champagne kurken als stoelen, waarbij gasten het gevoel hebben dat ze zijn gekrompen tot de grootte van een rat! Ook andere alledaagse restaurant voorwerpen zijn op rat formaat te zien in Bistrot Chez Rémy. Zo is een papieren cocktail paraplu een parasol en wordt het restaurant gescheiden door reuze kookboeken en enorme borden.

Op het menu van dit door Ratatouille geïnspireerde restaurant staan onder andere entrecote met frieten en natuurlijk ratatouille! De kleine chef raadt zijn gasten aan te starten met een frisse salade en te eindigen met een smakelijk dessert, zoals een selectie van Franse kazen, waaronder Brie de Meaux, of een fruitsalade. Bon appétit!


La Place de Rémy: een eerbetoon van Disneyland aan Parijs

De nieuwe attractie Ratatouille: The Adventure ligt in het Walt Disney Studios Park op La Place de Rémy. Dit mini-land dankt haar naam aan de kleine chef en is geïnspireerd zijn lievelingsstad: Parijs. La Place de Rémy is een eerbetoon aan de echte Lichtstad en is geïnspireerd op het Parijs uit de film.

Aan La Place de Rémy ligt ook het op Ratatouille geïnspireerde restaurant genaamd Bistrot Chez Rémy, waar je dezelfde sfeer en verhoudingen vindt als aan het einde van de attractie. Om het mini-land helemaal af te maken opent er deze herfst een winkeltje op La Place de Rémy, namelijk Chez Marianne – Souvenirs de Paris.

Het Parijs uit de film Ratatouille is gebaseerd op een aantal herkenbare buurten uit de Lichtstad. Place Dauphine en Boulevard Haussmann hebben in het bijzonder invloed gehad op het ontwerp. De Imagineers hebben ervoor gekozen om de kleuren van de gevels en de buurt intenser dan de werkelijkheid te maken, waardoor het gevoel van de film tot leven komt!

Een van de meest spectaculaire elementen van La Place de Rémy is de fontein. De inspiratie voor deze fontein komt van Place des Vosges, waar een fontein staat die gekenmerkt wordt door haar ronde bassins en waterspuwende leeuwenkoppen. De ontwerper Harley Jessup, die eveneens meewerkte aan de film Ratatouille, voegde persoonlijk de finishing touch toe: verwijzingen naar Rémy, zijn vriendjes en de keuken. De fontein wordt gekenmerkt door ratjes die gebeeldhouwde champagneflessen vasthouden waar het water uit spuit.

La Place de Rémy heeft twee hoofdstraten: Allée des Marchands en Rue Auguste Gusteau. Op het plein bij Bistrot chez Rémy is een eerbetoon aan Paul Bocuse, ’s werelds grootste chef, te vinden. Bocuse is een grote inspiratie voor de makers van Ratatouille geweest. De lantaarnpalen en bankjes zijn ook typisch Parijs. Dankzij de Imagineers kunnen bezoekers een wandeling maken door Parijs zoals in de film Ratatouille. Echte kenners zien daar ook de kleine verwijzingen naar de film, zoals Linguini’s fiets, Colette’s motor of de gestolen Vespa van Chef Skinner.
