Tom Wolber said “
I am pleased to return to Europe and especially to Disneyland Paris, where I was in
1992 for its opening, to pursue the development of the leading European vacation destination”.
Tom Wolber is back at Disneyland® Paris, 22 years after having participated in the opening of the destination. He took on his position on 15 September 2014 as Président of Euro Disney S.A.S., the gérant of Euro Disney S.C.A., the holding company, and Euro Disney S.C.A., the operating company of Disneyland Paris. Until now Tom was Senior Vice President of Operations and Transportation at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. He replaces Philippe Gas who was named to head Shanghai Disney Resort.
Tom Wolber has more than 20 years’ experience at The Walt Disney Company. He has held important positions in various entities, at Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris. More recently, Tom supervised all the28 hotels at Walt Disney Resort in Florida, as well as the property’s extensive transportation network as Senior Vice President of Operations & Transportation. He was at the initiative of a great number of strategic projects, including the launching of Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the Disney Springs master plan and the continued growth of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ sports business. Vandaag op 15 september 2015 is Tom Wolber exact één jaar CEO van Euro Disney S.A.S.
Hij heeft ons de afgelopen 12 maanden al een paar mooie dingen gegeven .
Zoals de Star Wars Jedi Academy en de Frozen Summer Fun. Maar ook een aantal dingen die niet zo snel zichtbaar zijn zoals de ontelbare refurbs kwamen er onder Tom Wolber zijn eerste maanden in Disneyland Paris.
Op dit moment zijn Tom Wolber en zijn team druk bezig met de refurbs van een aantal grote dingen zoals
Big Thunder Mountain ,Pirates Of The Caribbean en It’s A Small World . Dit allemaal naar aanleiding van de 25ste verjaardag van Disneyland Paris in 2017 .
Wij van Café Mickey willen Tom Wolber van harte feliciteren met zijn eerste en geslaagde jaar als CEO van Euro Disney S.A.S. . En we hopen dat hij nog heel wat jaren in Disneyland Paris Blijft .
