As you may have heard, Rapunzel from Disney’s upcoming animated adventure, “Tangled,” will appear in theaters this Thanksgiving. She’ll also be greeting guests in Disneyland park for the first time, beginning October 15. And Tom Smith recently announced on the Blog that Rapunzel will also greet guests at Magic Kingdom Park in Orlando.
We’re sharing a first glimpse of concept art created for Rapunzel’s new meet-and-greet location in Fantasyland. As you can see in the image above, Rapunzel’s 70-feet of golden locks will drape luxuriously around the room. Flynn Rider, Rapunzel’s love interest, will also be on hand to meet and greet guests throughout the day.

Rapunzel will be greeting guests in the location that currently houses Gepetto’s Sweet Shoppe.

Wauw, geweldig!! Vind wel dat ze een beetje vooruitlopen in DLP, want de film komt pas vanaf 1 december 2010 in de Franse bios en vanaf 7 november zijn ze al in DLP! Maar ik vind het echt super dat ze komen!!!

"We reported earlier that the in-park appearance of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled, initially scheduled to begin on October 15 at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom had been postponed until October 25.

Yesterday, however, Cast Member-run WDW Character Hunt stated that the pair would in fact be making appearances starting on October 15, only at Epcot’s International Gateway instead at non-published, ‘random’ times. The duo will only be making appearances and will not be participating in any of the interactive elements expected to occur when the makeover-in-progress at Magic Kingdom’s Fairytale Garden is complete."
