Vanaf volgende week woensdag, 25 augustus 2010, kunnen alle jaarpashouders van Disneyland Paris al vóór de officiële openingstijd het Walt Disney Studios Park betreden om het nieuwe Toy Story Playland te bezoeken! Alle Francilien-, Fantasy- en Dreampashouders en houders van de zogenaamde 'Passeport Annuels Découverte' hebben vanaf 8:30 tot 10:00 uur toegang tot het Toy Story Playland en wel in de periode van woensdag 25 augustus tot en met vrijdag 17 september 2010. Elke jaarpashouder mag maximaal twee personen meenemen, maar zij moeten wel over een geldig toegangsticket voor het Walt Disney Studios Park beschikken. Tijdens deze periode geldt de aanbieding '1-Daags Hopperticket voor €19,-' ook nog, dus dat is erg handig voor diegenen die met de jaarpashouder meegaan. Alleen het Toy Story Playland is geopend tijdens deze bijzondere gelegenheid, dus de rest van het Park gaat pas om 10:00 uur open. Gasten die in deze periode in een van de Disney Hotels verblijven en die niet in het bezit zijn van een jaarpas van Disneyland Paris, mogen helaas niet vanaf 8:30 uur 's morgens van het Toy Story Playland genieten. Zij moeten dus wachten tot het Walt Disney Studios Park officieel opent, dus zij kunnen pas vanaf 10:00 uur het nieuwe Land bezoeken. Het zijn trouwens géén 'Extra Magische Uren' voor de jaarpashouders, want het is een privatisering!

Single Riders Queue bij Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop: Sinds dit weekend is er een speciale Single Riders Queue ingesteld bij de Parachute Drop attractie in Toy Story Playland in het Walt Disney Studios Park. Bezoekers die alleen zijn, kunnen zo snel de attractie in, waardoor de attractie iedere keer vol zit en dus efficiënter opereert.

Werkt goed de singleriders-line, gisteren slechts 5min. hoeven te wachten ipv. 60 min. voor de gewone wachtrij.

RC Racer heeft enkele originele 'Hotweels' stickers ontvangen:



The orange halfpipe of RC Racer was always unmistakably inspired by the classic Mattel car series, but now it’s official. Several Hot Wheels logos have just appeared around the attraction, including one on the base of the travel carry bag at the entrance and another stuck on top of the one of the 2D illustrations on the side of the “plastic” station building. In all advertising for Toy Story Playland featuring the trademark orange track, Disneyland Paris has been obliged to print a disclaimer stating the Hot Wheels inspiration, but this is the first in-park nod to the brand.



Interestingly, it comes just after the nod to a rival toy brand — Hasbro — was removed from the giant blue Barrel of Monkeys. A stamp inside the barrel originally read “© Hasbro 2010? but was painted over last month. It’s unknown whether this was removed due to a conflict of commercial interests or a desire not to date this still “new” land now we’re in 2011. Hasbro is counted as one of the resort’s official partners, having replaced Mattel (who originally sponsored Autopia) around 10 years ago.

Now, how long before Mattel see the opportunity for a lucrative merchandise tie-in and let us pick up a more portable version of this unique Hot Wheels playset?

Toy Story Playland
- The old RC Racer photo location was deemed unsafe after performing numerous tests in a backstage area.
- A new photo location will be build, resembling a giant toy box in which guests can get into and get their picture taken behind a glass window, resembling the plastic covering of the box. The actual box will be 2m60, tall enough so guests won't be able to climb on it and fall of.
- The single rider lines at RC Racer and Parachute Drop will be become official with permanent signs and bars.
- A new food cart will be added, designed to look like a big cookie box featuring "Jessie and her animals".
- A hilarious preshow video (which we were shown) will be added to the Parachute Drop queue line. A large PSP-like device will show a safety boarding video, animated by Pixar!!! The characters were designed pixelated, similar to old Nintendo video games and features most of the Toy Story characters.
- Video will be shown in French, English and English with subtitles.

Nog een kort filmpje, weet mij niet echt te boeien! Wel leuk om de kinderen te vermaken en het ziet er naar uit dat ze niet aangevallen worden voor foto's en handtekeningen
